Dressing Room Diaries – Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you are well aware that the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is under way. Early access opened up to card holders on July 12th but public access begins the 20th! I braved the store during early access week to find out what I was loving and what wasn’t workin’ for me. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for my wallet, most things I tried worked out. So, come on and take a trip with me into my dressing room…

Cardigans/Jackets

{Blazer, Jeans, Tank}

Can a gal ever have too many blazers, I ask you? The answer to that is always no! This blazer was one of my absolute favorite things I tried on. Soft, flattering, and has pockets! I found it true to size and am wearing in xs. These amazing jeans are also true to size and I’m wearing in size 4.

{Sweater, Jeans}

I realize this is kind of an odd picture but I was doing my best to show you the adorable scallop detail. Either in my belly or on my arms, a scallop can do no wrong! This one ran true to size for me and I’m wearing in an xs.

{Jacket, Jeans}

I wanted this drape jacket to work SO bad but alas I’m just a tiny shrimp. 5’1″ over here (on a good day!) So, hate to beg but if you are taller, I am on my hands and knees asking you to get this! I would assume the jacket runs true to size and the jeans are also true to size. I’m wearing in a size 27.

{Jeans}

Holy softness!! This is one of my favorite brands because of the sheer softness. I liked this one too because it can easily worn with leggings for extra comfort! Currently sold out but hoping it will be restocked for the public sale! True to size for me. I’m wearing in XS.

{Cardigan, BP Tee, Jeans}

Aaaand the winner for my favorite cardigan goes to this little BP number! It comes in a bunch of colors and will go with so many things! I suggest sizing down and am wearing in an XXS. The tee is true to size and the jeans are as well.

Tops

{Henley, Jeans}

This is the perfect color for fall and I think it could be easily dressed up or down! True to size for me. Wearing in XS.

{Henley}

I liked this henley so much that I had to try it on in black as well! The black is definitely dressy enough to be worn to work as well.

{Top, Jeans}

This top didn’t jump out at me when I was shopping online but turned out to be one of my favorite items I tried on. It’s cute. It’s simple. It’s casual. It’s perfect. True to size. Wearing in XS. These jeans are also amazing and true to size.

{Tee}

Next up, we have the BP striped tee. There’s just something about a striped tee that screams fall and I for one, will never have enough! This one fit true to size and I’m wearing in an XS.

{Tank, Jeans}

This tank is a little on the shorter side so probably wouldn’t work if you have a longer torso but it worked perfectly on me! The color is to die for and it can easily be dressed up for work or play. True to size. Wearing in XS.

Dresses

Dress

I’m really not a dress wearer so this was actually the only dress I tried on but I loved it!! The dressing room lighting does not do the coloring of this dress justice plus it has POCKETS!! Size down. Wearing in XS but usually wear size S in dresses.

Bottoms

{Tee, Pants}

I didn’t think twice about these pants when I saw them online but trying them on in person was a whole ‘nother ball game. I LOVED them! I have been all over this style of pant recently and these will transition perfectly from summer to fall. I found them true to size and am wearing size small.

{Jeans}

Shamefully, I am a huge Khloe Kardashian fan and had been dying to try her Good American jeans. Unfortunately, these just didn’t work for me. I think if I was curvier they would be much better. After all, a Kardashian designed them so I’m not sure what I was thinking…

Shoes

Booties

Insert a stronger word for adorable right here________.

{Converse, Scallop Sneakers}

Those rose gold details though!! All the heart eyes!! Plus, look at those scalloped sneakers! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ll take scallops either IN or ON my body 🙂

Vince Camuto Booties

There was literal drool coming out of my mouth when I spotted these. That is all.

Accessories

Crossbody Bag

Sole Society is a great brand (I have several of their purses and shoes) and this crossbody looks like a perfect little accessorry! If you are in need of a black bag, I recommend this perfectly priced one!

Last but not least is this luggage set. If you’re looking for a new set, these are lightweight with a hard shell. On sale for a great markdown and will be perfect for your next vacation!

Dressing Room Diaries – January, 2018

I decided to go to the mall the other day and quickly realized why I do most of my shopping online. I tend to get super high anxiety around crowds of people but luckily the Pats were playing the Jaguars so, it was quiet (yay sports!) Also, it’s amazing how many things are cheaper online than in the store. How do these brick and mortars expect to stay in business?!?

#NSALE Dressing Room Diaries

Can you tell I’m excited for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale??? I’ve already placed a hefty order online, but decided I couldn’t wait for the clothes to arrive and took a trip to my local Nordstrom store to shop the sale in person. I typically prefer ordering online because I think the selection is much bigger, but like I said, I just couldn’t wait any longer. I wanted to share with you my likes and dislikes. First up, I’m going to start with what I liked.

THE SOFTEST SWEATER ON THE PLANET

Dreamers Tunic Sweater – This by far is the softest thing I have ever put on my body. WARNING: People will ask to feel you while wearing this sweater. The best part is, it’s less than $30!

SWEATERS AND TEES

Jeans: Not on the website yet but similar here –> Vigoss – Less than $42.
Left: BP Ruffle Bell Cuff Sweater – True to size and sooo cute! I love the bell sleeve detail. Wearing in XS. Less than $32!
Middle: BP Pocket Tee – True to size. Wearing in XS. Less than $19!
Right: BP Boatneck Pullover – True to size. Wearing in XS. Can be worn off the shoulder and regular. I absolutely adored this sweater. Less than $25!

OLIVE MOTO JEANS

Caslon Utility Pants – Less than $50 and true to size. Wearing here in size 26.
Left: Caslon Striped Tee – Pretty tts. I’m wearing here in small but think an xs would fit better. Less than $20!
Right: Caslon V-Neck Tee – Runs large. Wearing here in xx small. Less than $18!

SCALLOPS AND JEANS

Halogen Scallop Edge Sweater – True to size. Wearing in xs. Less than $40!
Caslon Frayed Hem Jeans: I’m a sucker for a frayed hem! Less than $50 and true to size. Wearing in size 26.

SHOES

Sam Edelman Tall Boot – I am totally swooning over these Sam Edelmans! Less than $150!

Vince Camuto Prasata Booties – I actually didn’t like these as much in person as I thought I would. They were out of stock in the tan color which I think I would’ve liked more. Under $100, though!

Blondo Booties – These booties claim to be WATERPROOF! Still a little pricey but to me waterproof booties are worth it. They fit true to size and I am adding them to my wishlist.

Now, for what I didn’t like/didn’t work for me.

LONG SWEATERS

I love the long sweater trend but unforutnately I think I’m just too dang short to be able to pull this off. I also found the BP sweater (left & right) to have a lot of fuzzy pieces flying everywhere.
