5 Fall Wardrobe Essentials

As sad as I am to see Summer go, I’m excited for Fall! I can’t wait for apple picking, pumpin decorating, and baking all sorts of fall treats! In order to make all these Fall activities more fun, you need a couple basics in your wardrobe so, you can look good while cruising the apple orchard.

TUNICS

Tunics are a MUST for Fall! They’re perfect for wearing with leggings or pants (if you’re on team leggings aren’t pants.)

A PAIR OF SPLURGE-WORTHY BOOTS/BOOTIES

When it comes to booties, I will splurge if I find a pair that will be worth it. These booties are WATERPROOF so, that right there is worth it’s weight in gold. Booties pair with just about all Fall outfits and since they’re waterproof, these will be worn NONSTOP.

SCARVES

This seems like an obvious one! A perfect scarf can take all Fall outfits up a notch! Here’s a few of my favorites this season.

This seems like another obvious one as the weather gets cooler. You’ve gotta have a couple good cardigans to throw over those basic tees.

Last but not least, are vests. Throw a vest over basically anything and you’re Fall ready!

Let’s talk teardrops. Don’t cry, I’m talkin’ teardrop earrings!

Did you know that earrings now come in sizes??? I may be a little late to the party but I’ve just gotten my hands on a couple pairs of leather earrings, and let’s just say I’m a tad obsessed. OK, OK, I admit it, more than a tad obsessed. I got these two pairs from an Etsy shop called Accents By Alli. Alli was the sweetest and I definitely recommend her shop! The first pair I’m wearing is a size medium and are sold for $14.00. I wasn’t sure how heavy they were going to be but, I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight they are!

The second pair I’m wearing is a size large and are sold for $16.00. I assumed these were going to be waaay too big for my petite frame but I think they look great, if I do say so myself 🙂

Stitch Fix Review – Summer 2017

This is technically my July Stitch Fix but I am just getting around to this review now. #oops. My regular stylist left last month so, I’ve had Katie for these past two fixes and she’s been great! I didn’t leave her anything in my note besides “surprise me!”

In case you’re not familiar with Stitch Fix, here’s a quick rundown:

1. As soon as you sign up, you fill out a quick style profile with your preferred styles and measurements. It helps if you have a pinterest board linked so your stylist can see all of the pretty clothes you have pinned.

2. Schedule your first fix here (This is my referral link…if you use this link, I will get a small credit.) You will be charged a $20.00 styling fee, however this fee gets used towards anything you purchase. For example, if you keep a $48.00 shirt, an additional $28.00 will be charged to your card.

3. Five days within your scheduled fix date, a pretty little box will arrive with 5 items (clothing, scarves, jewelery, handbags, and now SHOES!) You can pick which items you would like on your profile, so if for example, you don’t want shoes, you won’t get shoes.

4. After you’ve tried on all your goodies, you have 3 days to decide what to keep. Log on to your stitchfix account and checkout. Return the items you didn’t keep in the pre-paid envelope. Then order your next fix and so on and so forth!

STATUS: I sadly returned these items. I wanted to love the jeans and sneakers but I just don’t think they looked right on me. The jeans were still too long even with them being petite but the color was gorgeous!

STATUS: Winner, winner chicken dinner. This top was a gorgeous color and stayed pretty well as an off the shoulder top. Obvious keeper.

STATUS: I sadly returned this top too simply for budgetry reasons. I told myself I was only going to keep one thing this fix and the off the shoulder top was the clear winner!

Stitch Fix On A Budget (Create Your Own Fix – August Edition)

Welcome to another addition of “create your own stitch fix!” In case you missed my July edition, you can check it out here. As you may or may not know, I am in love with Stitch Fix but feel sometimes their pricing could be better. If you’re unsure what Stitch Fix is, check out my last review here. Every month, I like to challenge myself to create outfits using all Stitch Fix pieces at a fraction of the cost. I always feel that August is an awkward time of year because I never know if I should keep buying summer clothes or start transitioning to fall. Since I couldn’t decide, I created a “summer fix” and a “fall fix.” Now, let’s get to it!

For this summer fix, I wanted to focus on brigh colors. Pair the Everly fuschia dress with the Nine West gladiator sandals and Gorjana teal bracelet for an extra dose of color. The Kensie yellow top would also pair well with the Kensie pom pom shorts, Nine West gladiator sandals and Gorgjana bracelet.

For this Fall fix, pair the Kensie tank with the Bobeau plaid top. Wear the plaid top either open or buttoned up. Add the STS Blue distressed jeans with the Nine West Booties and Urban Expressions bag and you’re ready for a day at the pumpkin patch!

#NSALE Massive Haul & Try-Ons

HALOGEN SWEATER/ JEANS/ BOOTS

This sweater is a little long for me but I like it! I’m wearing the sweater here in size xs (xsp would probably work better) in the navy color. If you don’t mind that the sweater is backordered, you can order it and it will be delivered just in time for the colder weather. Size up one size in the jeans. Booties are true to size.

BURGUNDY CONVERSE AND HALOGEN TEE

Is there anyone out there who doesn’t actually like chuck taylors? I would like to believe that we live in a World where those people don’t exist. I, for one, love chucks and know these are going to be awesome for fall! Plus, this t-shirt is seriously the softest I have ever worn! Both run true to size.

BP SWEATERS

[Cardigan, Flats, Tank, Necklace, Jeans]

Wearing the cardigan in size XS and it fits well. It’s a perfect length for me even though I’m a shortie at 5’0″ tall. The flats are incredibly comfortable and run true to size. The flats are also available here in a couple other colors. Size up one in the jeans.

This sweater is definitely one of my favorite purchases from this years #NSALE. I love that it can be worn off the shoulder or as a regular sweater. Sweater is true to size but size up in the jeans.

STRIPED TOP AND WIT & WISDOM AB-SOLUTION JEANS

I’ve spent my whole life thinking you need to actually work out to get abs. Silly, Diana, all you need is a pair of Wit & Wisdom’s ab-solution jeans! They miraculously suck everything in with their elastic waist band and even give a little “booty lift!” These are some some seriously great jeans right here. Top is true to size (even though the site says size up) and jeans are also true to size.

I am fanatical about stripes. This top is perfect on its own or with an olive utility vest. Top is true to size, wearing here in XS.

LUSH TOP 1

This is another super soft and comfy shirt! Runs small so, size up. I am wearing here in a Small.

I think these shoes are my new obsession and they look great with this Lush top. The top runs a little big so if you like more fitting tops, I would suggest sizing down. The flats are true to size.

I absolutely love this outfit!! The plaid top runs big so, size down. I am wearing here in XS but desparately need the XXS. These TOMS booties also run big so, I suggest sizing down .5.

These jeans are the perfect Fall color and oh, so soft! I found them to be true to size.

BELL SLEEVE TOP

This top is all sorts of fun! I think it will be a definite “date night” go-to when the weather gets a little cooler.

SOFTEST SWEATER ON THE PLANET

This sweater is legitimately the softest thing I have ever put on my body. For less than $25, this is a must have! Runs true to size.

CHELSEA 28 RUFFLE BACK CARDIGAN

The back ruffle detail on this cardigan is the cutest! I found it to fit true to size. The booties run big so, I suggest sizing down at least .5.

SOLE SOCIETY TOTE BAG

[Tote Bag]

I am obssesed with this bag and have been carrying it everywhere I go. It’s a perfect size without looking too large and it’s under $40! It’s also available in a pretty burgundy color.
